The terminal is not recognizing

1. Make
sure that no other receivers on the same phone line are off the hook.
2. Make sure that a phone cord is
connected to the terminal and plugged into a working phone jack.

is not reading cards |
1. Card’s magnetic strip may
be damaged or card was swiped in wrong direction.
2. Card reader is dirty.
|
1. Make
sure that magnetic strip on card is facing the -proper
direction. If possible try swiping an alternative card; magnetic strip
may be damaged or faulty.
2.Clean head.

| During
a debit transaction the terminal response is "INVALID PIN" |
The terminal has the incorrect
working (PIN) key. |
Call customer
service for assistance. |
| Invalid
Expiration Date" on display when card expiration date is valid. |

1. Make

1. Remove
paper cover and clear any possible paper jams. Replace paper.
2. If using a thermal printer verify
that the paper is facing the proper, heat-sensitive side.
3. Check merchant options and verify
that No Paper Mode is switched to No. This turns No Paper Mode off.

| Receipt
prints "CANCELED" |
When the receipt prints "Canceled"
the terminal is informing you that the attempted transaction was unsuccessful. |
Write
down any messages displayed on the terminal display prior to the printing
of the receipt. all the Lipman help desk for further assistance. |
| Terminal
displays "20XX NOS BACK TO PROG. |
Terminal was reset and has returned
to the NOS menu. |
Press
enter. The terminal will run the program and return to the idle prompt.
If the program does not exist call customer service for assistance. |
| Terminal
displays "NO DIAL TONE" |
Terminal is not picking up (recognizing)
the dial tone. |
1. For
Downloads Exchange prefix
may be needed.
2. For Transactions Exchange
prefix may be needed.

displays "NO PRINTER / PAPER" with paper in the printer |
1. The terminal is not recognizing
the printer.
2. The terminal is not connected to the printer.
3. The printer is not in print mode.

1. Reconfigure
the terminal for the correct printer.
2. Connect the printer to the terminal
with a working connection.
3. Make sure the printer is in print.

seems to have no power |
|
1. Make
sure that power supply is connected to the terminal and plugged in to a
working power outlet.
2. Make sure that the power switch
(2070, 2060U) is in the on position.
3. Recharge battery (2070, 2060U)

screen is locked up and won’t respond to key commands. |
The terminal is being used with
the wrong power supply. |
Connect
the proper power supply and then simultaneously press and hold the 1,5,9,
Review/Backspace keys to reset the terminal. |

skips certain menu functions. |
The terminal is a 2080+ loaded
with an RTP application. |
The unavailable
options must be changed with the .C.C. and the terminal must have a parameter
downloaded to activate the changes. Call your customer support desk for
